Meet Our Home Manager
Diane Atkinson

I have worked in care for over 30 years, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge along the way, progressing through different roles to become a Registered Manager. Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about providing high-quality person-centred care that truly makes a difference to people’s lives.

My approach is centred on creating a home from home environment where residents feel comfortable, valued, and part of a community. I believe it’s important that each person is treated as an individual, with their own preferences, routines, and life story. Building strong relationships with residents, their families and my team is at the heart of everything I do.

Yes. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms with photographs, keepsakes, ornaments and familiar belongings from home.
This can make a big difference when someone is settling into a care home, helping their room feel comfortable, personal and reassuring from the beginning.

A familiar bedroom also gives residents a private space where they can relax, reflect and feel more at home. At Adel Square Care Home, we believe these personal details matter because they help each resident feel recognised as an individual, not just someone receiving care.

If you have further questions about this, you are welcome to book a visit to the home and ask the home manager how we can support your wishes.
