At our St Mary’s Lodge care home in Anlaby, we believe life should include the best of care, the best environment, and the best of life.

Our person-centred approach means residents are supported to continue doing the things they’ve always enjoyed — and often rediscover activities they thought they could no longer take part in. We encourage everyone to live as independently and actively as possible, with routines and hobbies that bring meaning and comfort.

Everyday life at St Mary’s Lodge includes time in the garden, regular exercise, creative hobbies, and social activities. Residents enjoy weekly hair and nail appointments in our on-site salon, and often catch up with friends and family in our welcoming café.

We also run a varied programme of events and outings, both in the home and in the wider Anlaby area. From charity fundraisers and community events to theatre trips and local exhibitions, there’s always something to get involved in.

We’re proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and to support national research into how care homes can best meet the needs of people living with dementia. Meet Our Home Manager – Louise Lambert

I’ve been part of the team at St Mary’s Lodge for over ten years, starting as a Health Care Assistant and working my way up to Care Home Manager. I also spent time as a Training and Development Manager, which deepened my passion for mentoring staff and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

I’m committed to creating a supportive environment where both residents and staff feel valued. I believe that building strong, open relationships with families is essential to providing the best possible care.

With a hands-on leadership style and a focus on teamwork, I work hard to make sure every resident at St Mary’s Lodge receives the care, attention, and respect they deserve.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and long walks — and my friends would say I’m easy-going and always happy to listen.
