Our care team works closely with each resident to tailor support to their needs and preferences, promoting physical wellbeing, social connection, and emotional confidence.

We’re proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and to support wider dementia research. Our commitment to best practice ensures that people living with dementia receive thoughtful, dignified care in a supportive and understanding environment.

Meet Our Home Manager – Sharon Burton

I’ve worked in healthcare for over 35 years, gaining experience across a wide range of clinical and leadership roles. I’ve spent five years in adult social care and have also held Director-level positions in Nursing and Clinical Governance — the highest level a nurse can achieve.

Over the years, I’ve successfully opened and developed four care homes, building strong teams and supportive communities. I’ve also worked at senior levels in hospitals, where I focused on maintaining exceptional clinical standards and governance.

Since joining St Mary’s in 2022, my priority has been to support and develop the care team here at Shipley Manor, making sure we continue to deliver the highest standards of care to every resident.
