During her employment at St. Mary’s Lodge, Ellie’s exemplary work ethic and commitment to residents’ well-being earned her a promotion to the role of Senior Care Assistant. Her positive attitude, empathy, and professionalism have left an indelible mark on both residents and staff at the care home.

Ellie’s aspirations for a career in the Ambulance Service were well-known within the St. Mary’s Lodge community, and the home wholeheartedly supported her journey. When faced with the challenging recruitment process, which included a specific requirement, Ellie went above and beyond by obtaining her C1 driving license to enhance her qualifications.

The pivotal moment arrived in July when Ellie secured an interview with the Ambulance Service. After an agonising week of anticipation, she received the life-changing news of her successful job offer. The joyous occasion of Ellie sharing this news with her colleagues and the St. Mary’s Lodge family marked a profoundly proud moment for everyone involved.

Subsequently, Ellie successfully passed her physical assessment and was provided with a start date for her 10-week training program. Her transition to the Ambulance Service signifies the culmination of her dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to her chosen career path.

While Ellie’s departure is bittersweet for St. Mary’s Lodge Care Home, the team is equally thrilled and excited for her as she embarks on this new and impactful journey.
