I have more than 30 years of experience in the care sector, having started my career as a Care Assistant before progressing into management and taking on my first Home Manager role at the age of 23. After spending three years living in Australia, I returned to care management and have since successfully commissioned five care homes, as well as working as an Operations Manager. This experience has given me a strong understanding of what it takes to establish a successful home and create the right culture from the very beginning.

I am passionate about delivering truly person-centred care, taking the time to understand each resident’s individual needs, preferences, life history and personal choices. As Home Manager at Bowburn Manor, my priority is to create a warm and welcoming home where residents feel valued and listened to, are treated with dignity and respect, and are supported to maintain their independence and enjoy meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Each bedroom at Bowburn Manor will be beautifully furnished to create a calm and comfortable place to unwind. Residents will be encouraged to make their room feel like their own by bringing cherished photographs, treasured belongings and meaningful mementos.

Throughout the home, comfortable lounges and welcoming communal spaces will offer places to socialise and enjoy time with others. Whether enjoying a hot drink and something sweet, catching up with friends or joining in with an activity, residents will be able to enjoy each day at their own pace.
