St Mary’s Care Homes are proud to announce they have raised £530.59 for Alzheimer’s Society following a group-wide Superhero Party.

Joining Marton Care Homes and Highgate Care with the Superhero fundraising event, a combined total of £2,740.34 was raised for the charity.

Staff and residents embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up as superheroes, taking part in themed activities and coming together to raise both funds and awareness for people living with dementia.

Each home hosted its own Superhero Summer Party, creating a fun, inclusive and meaningful celebration that highlighted the strength of community across the group.

The event was created to recognise care staff and residents as the everyday heroes they truly are, while supporting the vital work of Alzheimer’s Society in helping people affected by dementia live well for longer.

Homes across the group took part in a range of activities, including Superhero fancy dress competitions for staff and residents, themed games, treats and refreshments enjoyed together.

Managing Director of St Mary’s Care Homes, Kirsty Crozier, said: “Our Superhero Summer Party was a wonderful way to celebrate the incredible people who live and work in our homes every day. Seeing staff and residents come together to have fun, raise awareness and support Alzheimer’s Society perfectly reflects the values at the heart of St Mary’s Care Homes. We’re incredibly proud to have raised such a fantastic amount for a cause that means so much to so many.”

Following the success of this event, each of the care groups involved are planning to hold a second event in 2026.
