Meet Our Home Manager – Laura Barnsley

I’ve worked in social care for over 30 years and have spent more than 20 of those managing care homes. I’m passionate about creating a happy, supportive environment where residents can enjoy the best possible quality of life.

I’ve worked alongside my senior team for over 15 years, and I truly believe that when staff feel valued and supported, it creates the best outcomes for the people we care for.

Throughout my career, I’ve led services to achieve strong CQC outcomes – including Outstanding ratings across all five domains, something held by only a handful of care homes in the country. I’m incredibly proud that St Mary’s Riverside recently earned its own Outstanding rating. It’s a reflection of the dedication, skill and compassion of the whole team.

My focus every day is to make St Mary’s Riverside a place where residents feel safe, respected and truly at home.
