At our St Mary’s Lodge care home in Anlaby, we believe your life should include the best care, the best of life and the best environment.

Our person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy – and all our residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy everyday routines that keep them independent, from helping out in the garden and other hobbies, exercise, and having their weekly hair and nail appointment at the luxurious salon, to catching up with friends in the welcoming café.

Our activities, trips, events and hobbies take place both within St Mary’s Lodge, Anlaby, and the surrounding areas and include gardening, fundraising days for local charities and excursions to community events, local exhibitions, the theatre and the cinema.

We are also proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and other charities to support research on what practices best support people living with dementia to positively influence policy and practice for dementia care in care homes across the UK.

I have been part of St Mary’s Lodge for ten years, progressing from a Health Care Assistant to Care Home Manager, with previous experience as a Training and Development Manager. I am passionate about mentoring staff, supporting residents, and building strong relationships with families to ensure the highest quality of care.

With strong multi-tasking and leadership skills, I effectively manage operations while fostering a positive and supportive environment. My ambition is to ensure that every resident receives the care and support they need to live their best lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and walking, and my friends would describe me as easy-going and a good listener.
